Pokémon Scorched Silver is a fan-made game, also called a ROM hack, built on top of Pokemon Emerald. It's not a remake of the classic Johto games, Pokemon Gold and Silver, but a sequel set 20 years later. Here's what you can expect:
New Story and Familiar Region:
- You embark on a journey in the Johto region, two decades after the events of Gold and Silver.
- The story centers around a new trainer and their quest to become a Pokemon Master.
- You’ll encounter a mysterious group called Team Phoenix and their plot involving the mythical Celebi.
Enhanced Gameplay:
- Scorched Silver incorporates features from newer Pokemon generations.
- You can encounter Pokemon from all eight generations, including Gen 8 additions.
- Mega Evolution is available in the post-game.
- The game offers a moderate difficulty level, with Gym Leaders using strategic tactics.
Quality of Life Improvements:
- The game incorporates quality-of-life changes from later generations, like running indoors and not needing HM moves outside of battle.
