Airportle

Airportle is an online word guessing game where the player has to guess a three-letter airport identification code. The game has six chances to guess the correct code, and the player will receive color-coded feedback indicating if the guessed letters are in the correct position (green), in the code but in the wrong position (orange), or not in the code at all (gray). The game uses the official airport codes from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which has a total of 17,576 possible combinations. Airportle is designed to challenge the player's knowledge of airport codes while also being a fun and engaging game.

How to play Airportle

Airportle is played entirely on a web browser, so you can use your computer mouse or touchpad to click on the letters and input your guesses.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to play Airportle:

  1. Go to the Airportle website
  2. You'll see a field where you can enter your guess for the three-letter airport code. Type in your guess and click "Guess" or hit the "Enter" key on your keyboard.
  3. The squares beneath your guess will turn green, orange, or grey, depending on the letters you got right and in the right position (green), the letters you got right but in the wrong position (orange), and the letters that are not in the code (grey).
  4. Based on the feedback, make another guess by typing a new three-letter combination in the input field. Repeat this process until you correctly guess the airport code or until you run out of six guesses.
  5. If you correctly guess the airport code within six guesses, you win the game! If not, you can always try again and see if you can beat your previous score.

That's it! The rules and controls of Airportle are simple, but the game can be challenging and addictive. Good luck guessing those airport codes!
